A. Telazol "Cocktail"

Agents: Telazol° (Tiletamine HCL and Zolazapam HCL), 100mg vial; and Xylazine (100 mg/ml) (Rompun°)

Add 5ml. of Xylazine (100 mg/ml) to unreconstituted Telazol° powder (100mg).

Dosage range is more variable; lower incidence of vomiting; single injection.

Atropine is also given for excessive salivation.

Technique: Administer an intramuscular (I.M.) injection of Telazol Cocktail using a 1 m. syringe and 25 g. needle.
